What started as a basic neighborhood summer mowing job for Ken Lambert, owner and operator of Kenlawn Company, back in 1983, has now developed into one of the highly respected premier lawn and landscape service companies in the Twin Cities.  After graduating from the University of Minnesota, with a degree from the Carlson School of Management, Ken continued with the success of this small company and began to expand the business yearly.  Now, 30 years later, Kenlawn employs 12 crew members, along with Ken, that serve hundreds of residential and several commercial properties on a weekly basis.  Through those years, multiple services were added, and continue to be added, to supply its client base with a vast array of  lawn/landscape/snow removal offerings along with several diverse specialty services.

After moving into our new 8,000 sq. ft. facility that houses all of our equipment indoors, we now are capable of handling a wide variety of all of our customer’s year round needs.  Over the years we have continually reinvested in equipment to enhance our professional image and supply our customers with the latest in technology.  We have done minimal advertising thanks in large part to referrals and neighboring homes viewing our quality of work.  We are particular with the results and always strive to achieve perfection. 

Our equipment is not only of the highest quality, but it is also maintained to the highest level.  Our standard maintenance is daily washing of our trucks and equipment and is the key to their longevity, along with organization.  One customer’s comment was “they don’t just shine…they gleam.”  Maintenance and reinvesting for the latest in technology ensures that our equipment is top notch to handle any requests.

Our uniformed employees are trustworthy, courteous and knowledgeable, which creates an excellent bond with our customers.  They are fully trained on all of the equipment and are educated in the current trends and processes for all of the care aspects of your lawn and landscaping.  We are a fully insured company that takes safety to the highest standards, making checklists so that everyone on staff is accountable for the finished results.  Our average tenure is 5 years, while some of the staff are 20 year veterans in this field.  The bottom line is that we all take pride in treating your property as if it was our own.

With our main facility located in New Hope, Minnesota, we find that we are ideally centrally located to provide services to all territories within the northwest suburbs. Our commercial territory encompass much of Minneapolis and it’s surrounding suburbs.

We have always strived to maintain slow and moderate growth over the years, making it manageable to deal with the unpredictability of “mother nature” and the ever changing industry’s trends.  Our future is to continue to treat every customer as if they were our only customer, and to continue to make strides in providing our customers the quality service they have come to know with Kenlawn.
